Modern on Rideau

September 12, 2016 Todd Hewines

A modern build on the Rideau River makes for pleasant views from within a stunning interior. Clean and simple with sophisticated touches, this interior is an open concept design that creates an undistracted and airy atmosphere.

Stair treads are made by NWP craftsmen from the prefinished flooring for an exact match to the floor, creating a seamless flowing look.

This home is a fine example of how wide plank wood floors can be used in kitchens when maintained properly in the initial stages and throughout its lifetime.  An additional coat of Hardwax oil was applied after installation for added protection and stands up extremely well to the daily traffic from the family and their two dogs.
